Yes. Foundation courses are made for beginners and need no prior experience. From there, structured learning paths take you step by step to intermediate and advanced subjects.

Go to the Courses section of the website, choose your programme and complete the secure registration. Your access to the learning portal (LMS) starts as soon as your enrolment goes through.

Yes. Every DFRTI student receives a digital certificate that can be verified. Anyone can check it on the Certificate Verification page of our website.

Yes, practical learning is at the centre of every course. Each course includes work on forensic tools, case-based simulations, lab environments on virtual machines, practical assignments, evidence analysis and hands-on investigation tasks.

Some tools and datasets are free. Others, especially DFRTI Lab Tools, specialised scripts, forensic utilities and restricted datasets, need a DFRTI login or course enrolment.

After you enrol, sign in with your registered email and password. The portal gives you your courses, assignments, certificates, downloads, a progress tracker, discussion forums, notifications, messages and toolkit access.

You can train online (live and recorded), offline on campus, through corporate and professional training, at workshops and bootcamps or through internships and mentorship programmes.

Beginners should start with Basics of Cyber Forensics. It covers the foundations, evidence handling, storage analysis, the principles of mobile extraction, file systems and the flow of an investigation. After that you can specialise in mobile, storage, network or cloud forensics, image and video forensics or incident response.

Yes. Every DFRTI course has hands-on labs, such as virtual machine environments, disk imaging and evidence analysis, mobile extraction workflows, memory forensics tasks, network packet analysis, tool-based exercises and case-based simulations. Hands-on training is a main focus at DFRTI.

Courses use industry-standard forensic tools for disk imaging, mobile forensics, memory analysis, network packet capture and analysis, artefact extraction and file system analysis, along with DFRTI's own in-house forensic tools. Every tool is taught through step-by-step demonstrations and guided exercises.

Yes. We update courses when new forensic techniques and new kinds of digital evidence appear and when file systems, mobile operating systems, cloud platforms and tools change. We also bring in trends we see in real cases.

It depends on the course. Foundation courses usually take 2 to 4 weeks, core forensics tracks 4 to 8 weeks, advanced courses 6 to 12 weeks and specialised expert programmes 8 to 16 weeks. Flexible schedules are available for working professionals.

Both. You can study self-paced with round-the-clock access to materials, join live instructor-led classes, mix the two in a hybrid format or attend offline, lab-based training on campus. Pick the mode that suits the way you learn.

Not for foundation courses. Advanced courses may expect a basic understanding of operating systems, some familiarity with computers and storage devices and a willingness to learn tool-based workflows. Each course page lists its prerequisites.

Yes. Every course has realistic case studies, assignments, lab tasks and scenario-based simulations. Examples include file recovery, mobile artefact extraction, examining a storage image, reviewing logs and metadata and interpreting network evidence.

You receive a DFRTI Digital Forensics Certificate that can be verified online. It shows your name, the course title, completion details, a unique certificate ID and a link to the verification portal.

Sign in to the DFRTI Student Portal (LMS). There you will find course videos, notes and PDFs, downloadable tools, assignments, quizzes, documentation, lab exercises and your progress. You can use it at any time, from any device.

Yes. DFRTI provides career roadmaps, resume guidance, skill development plans, interview preparation tips, industry insights and mentorship to help you move into forensics, investigation and analysis roles.

DFRTI offers three core certifications: DCFA (Digital Forensic Analyst), DCMFE (Mobile Forensics Expert) and DCNI (Network Investigator). There are also specialised certificates in malware and threat analysis, cloud and network forensics and IoT and drone forensics.

It depends on the certification. Foundation certificates are open to beginners. Intermediate and advanced certificates need the prerequisite courses or equal experience in digital evidence analysis. Specialised certificates may need earlier course completion or practical experience.

Choose your certification on the Certifications page, fill in the enrolment form and complete the payment. You then get access to course materials and labs and can book your exam through the DFRTI portal.

Exams combine multiple-choice questions, practical lab assessments, case study analysis and tool-based forensic exercises, all within a set time. The length and structure depend on the certification and its level.

Yes. You need a DFRTI Student Portal account to use course materials, track your progress and assignments, download forensic tools and datasets and receive your certificates.

Yes, for selected courses. You can split the course fee into several payments. Your materials open after the first instalment and the remaining instalments are tracked in the Student Portal.

For most online courses, access starts as soon as the payment succeeds. Offline and on-campus enrolments are confirmed once the payment is verified. You will receive a confirmation email with your login details and course schedule.

No. Enrolments cannot be transferred, because certification and student verification depend on the person who enrolled. Exceptions may be made for corporate or group registrations with prior approval.

You will receive a confirmation email at your registered address. The transaction also shows under Payment History in the Student Portal, where you can download your receipt.

Each tool comes with tutorials and practical exercises.

Tools and resources are in the DFRTI Student Portal (LMS). Enrol in a course or register as a DFRTI member, sign in, go to Resources and then Downloads, filter by category and download what you need. Some tools need course enrolment or membership approval.

Free tools and datasets are open to all registered users. Premium and restricted tools need enrolment in particular courses or certification programmes. DFRTI Lab Tools are only for students who have completed the required training modules. Every tool comes with version details, download steps and usage guidelines.

Datasets cover mobile artefact extraction, disk and storage analysis, network traffic capture, cloud investigation scenarios, malware analysis simulations and IoT device evidence. They are safe, anonymised and made for learning.

DFRTI tools are made for training and education. Some may also support professional work with proper authorisation. Every tool must be used legally and ethically and in line with evidence handling standards.

We update tools as forensic methods, software and hardware change, as new file systems and mobile OS versions arrive and as cloud and IoT investigation practice moves on. Updates show up in your LMS portal automatically.
